Petzl Spin L1D Directional Pulley

Description

• OPENABLE WHILE ANCHORED: The triple-action moving side plate is quick and easy to open, even with gloves, allowing you to install the rope while the pulley remains connected to the anchor.
• VERSATILE STYLES: Available as the L1 Single (simple hauls), L2 Double (complex mechanical advantage), or L1D Directional (one-way rotation for heavy load deviations).
• SWIVEL EFFICIENCY: The integrated swivel allows the pulley to orient under load to prevent twisting and can accommodate up to three carabiners, ropes, or slings.
• VISUAL SAFETY: A red indicator on the side plate provides an immediate visual warning if the pulley is unlocked, ensuring secure closure during operation.
• TECHNICAL SPECS: MBS 36 kN; Rope compatibility 7-13 mm (L1/L2) or 8-13 mm (L1D); Certifications: CE EN 12278, NFPA 2500 General Use, UIAA (L1/L2 only).

Openable even when attached to the anchor, the SPIN L1D pulley is designed to be used in conjunction with a descender for maximum simplicity in setting up a deviation for a heavy load. The faceted sheave only rotates in one direction, providing excellent efficiency when hauling and adding friction zones for the rope for additional braking when lowering. The swivel facilitates handling, allowing the pulley to be oriented under load, and direct connection of carabiners, ropes or slings.
